Jace 4 months

Happy, smiley baby, loves to talk and play with toys, hands are constantly in his mouth, drools everywhere!  Rolls from back to front and can't get back over, Such a blessing and joy in my life.  Just out of hospital with Influenza B and pneumonia for 6 days!  Was such a scary couple of days with his breathing, but he was a champ.  Every day I feel so lucky to have another little man in my life!

Family weekend away!

We had a family weekend getaway!  It was so nice to do fun thing with the boys!  We hit up MOA to do some rides!  The lines were so long that Matt only took Carsen on one ride, but it was fun anyway!  I spent the afternoon with Katie, Grayson and Jace....what better than shopping!!

It was Carsens first time on the swings, he didn't smile, cry or have any expression! But, I think he liked it anyway~ It was fun to watch him try something new and exciting!

Jace slept through all the fun!

We went to a great hotel with a spash pool!! Jace's first time swimming and he didn't mind the cold water!

Love swimming with my boys!

Looks real enthused, but he did enjoy it!

Wish there was more time to get away!!!

Jace 3 Months

He decided to become a thumb sucker at this point!  He is a super social, and smiley boy.   Very content most the time.

Jace enjoyed his first Christmas!!!  Loved watching his cousins and looking at the lights!

And, we have a jumper!

We have moved back to Morris and are excited to be driving less and having more time at home.  What a crazy past few months we have had.  Matt is loving that he gets more time with the boys!  I am loving have a little help!  So glad to be done with making house decisions! (Until Spring)

Our little cutie had a photoshoot in the house! Loving the lighting!!

Jace 2 Months

Cooing a lot more and smiling while talking.  Loves to talk when getting diaper changed.  Sits up in bumbo, is getting better at tummy time, is able to push up with hands for short period of time.  Loves to stand on my lap.  Loves taking naps on mom or dad. (Uh, oh!)   Started watching big brother and smiling at him.  Loves his bath.  Colicky from 5-7 pm.  Which is challenging when Carsen is tired from school.  It is hard to have Matt gone in the evenings working on the house.   Eats every 3 hrs.  Trying to bottle feed, chokes on almost every feeding.  Trying to continue to try new bottles and flow.  He is such a sweetie.

The shabby schmitty's

Welcome to our new blog!!

I like the word shabby.  Especially when used with decorating or describing an updated antique piece of furniture.  You hear it used a lot now when describing what is in style.  Shabby chic.  When I googled the definition, I was surprised:

shab•by (ˈʃæb i)

adj. -bi•er, -bi•est.

1. showing signs of wear or long use; worn.
2. wearing worn clothes or having a slovenly appearance.
3. run-down; dilapidated.
4. meanly ungenerous or unfair; contemptible: shabby behavior.
5. inferior; second-rate.

Too late...I already named our blog and I don't want to think of another name that goes with schmitty!  So, we are the shabby schmitty's.  The four of us.  We became a family of four on September 27, 2012.

I couldn't be a prouder mama the day I was able to give Carsen a new brother!  We are loving life the way it is now.  Like all families, we have our struggles and our better days but we choose to see life in a positive perspective.  A life full of joy and contentment no matter what God gives you.  This blog is intended to document our life.  The four of us.  The interaction between the boys, our family and friends, our weakend travels, our hobby's and us living the shabby life.  (Whether it is torn or not)

Enjoy reading as we enjoy living!
